ShamiTrainer Privacy Policy

This policy explains how irohamo handles information in ShamiTrainer, a shamisen practice app. This English translation is provided for reference; the Japanese version is authoritative.
1. Information processed on your device
Microphone input is used for tuning, pitch detection, practice and analysis against a score, and recording. Microphone access requires OS permission. Recordings are saved when you start a manual recording, or when automatic recording is enabled during whole-piece or phrase practice.
Copies of imported scores, recorded audio, recording dates and durations, the score, track, tempo and range used for a recording, and analysis-based practice suggestions are stored in the app’s local storage. We do not upload audio, scores, or analysis results to our servers.
2. On-device analysis and Apple Intelligence
Pitch, timing, and note-duration analysis run on your device. When Apple Intelligence is available, an on-device model receives only measurements and candidate suggestions. It does not receive recorded audio or song titles. When unavailable, the app displays predefined suggestions based on measurements.
3. Purchases
Plus purchases and restoration use Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. Verified purchase information enables paid features. We do not receive credit card details. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
4. Sharing and support
The app contains no advertising, third-party analytics SDK, or usage reporting to our servers. No account registration is required. Diagnostics, purchases, and backups managed by the OS or App Store follow your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.
When you use sharing, the selected recording is passed to the destination you choose. That destination’s terms and privacy policy apply.
If you email us, we use your email address and message to reply and investigate the issue. We retain this information as needed to handle your inquiry and delete it when no longer needed.
5. Retention, deletion, and microphone permission
You can delete recordings from the recording list and imported score copies from the library. Deleting a recording also deletes its associated metadata and saved practice suggestions. This does not delete original import files or copies saved to sharing destinations.
Saved app data remains until you delete it, including while the app is not in use. Data included in device or OS backups is governed by your backup settings. You can change microphone permission at any time in OS settings.
